A Weatherly teen was cited by McAdoo police after a traffic stop on April 12.

An officer on patrol stopped a vehicle for having nonfunctioning license plate lights. The driver was a 17-year-old male from Weatherly, who admitted to smoking marijuana after officers detected several signs of such use.The teen was given, and failed, field sobriety tests, then taken to a hospital for blood work. Test results were positive for marijuana.He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled substance as well as a traffic violation.
