Kidder Township Police have arrested a Philadelphia woman for stealing from her grandmother.

Aleasha Hayes, 31, was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony counts of theft by deception, forgery, identity theft and receiving stolen property. She allegedly took 35 blank checks from her grandmother's checkbook, then forged and cashed them for a total of $9,400. The grandmother resides in Golden Oaks Village, White Haven.Hayes was arraigned before District Judge Joseph Homanko,Weatherly, who set bailat $5,000 cash. Unable to post bond, she was then committed to the Carbon County Correctional Facility.A preliminary hearing is set for June 10 in Homanko's court.
