Kutztown earns business accreditation

AACSB International announced that Kutztown University has earned accreditation for its College of Business.

"AACSB congratulates Kutztown University and Dean William Dempsey on earning accreditation," said Robert D. Reid, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. "AACSB Accreditation represents the highest achievement for an educational institution that awards business degrees."AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than five percent of the world's business programs. Today, there are 736 institutions across 48 countries and territories that have earned AACSB Accreditation in business. Similarly, 182 institutions maintain an additional specialized AACSB Accreditation for their accounting programs.Achieving accreditation is a process of rigorous internal review, engagement with an AACSB assigned mentor, and peer review. During the multi-year process the school focuses ondevelopingand implementing a plan to align with AACSB's Accreditation standards. These standards require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation; student, faculty, and staff as active participants; learning and teaching; and academic and professional engagement.
