ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - An eastern Pennsylvania prosecutor says no charges will be filed in a crash that claimed the life of an 11-year-old girl earlier this month.

The Lehigh County district attorney's office said the 82-year-old driver could not have avoided the May 18 accident that killed Abigail Zukowski of Emmaus.

Authorities said Friday that he was driving at or below the speed limit and had a green light when the girl either walked or ran into his path on a busy Emmaus street.

A 10-year-old girl, also a student at Jefferson Elementary School, was injured.

The district attorney's office called the girl's death a "tragic accident."
