A Carbon County driver escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 12:11 a.m. on May 21 along Round Head Road, in Packer Township.

State police at Hazleton said Jacob M. Sirkot, 17, of Weatherly, was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer westbound and while negotiating a left curve swerved to avoid a deer that had entered the road in front of him.The Blazer traveled onto the right berm, then back across the road, and off onto the left berm where it overturned onto its roof.The Blazer had to be towed from the scene.
