The LA Events Committee would like to publicly thank the following people who made our Veterans' Dinner a huge success:Harry Wynn III, who was our emcee for the evening; Gov. Tom Wolf for sending Lt. Col. Timothy Brooks to represent him; Lt. Col. Timothy Brooks, who graciously excepted the invitation; Lt. Gov. Stack, who sent best wishes to our veterans; Brad Hurley, who represented Sen. John Yudichak; Rep. Doyle Heffley; Carbon County Commissioners Wayne Nothstein, Tom Gerhard and Bill O'Gurek; Henry Desrosiers, Carbon County Director of Veterans Affairs; Martin Ditsky, Lansford Council president; soloist Angela Nardini; Lansford American Legion Post 123 for co-sponsoring the dinner; president of the Home Association Tim Midas; and Post Commander Ernie Kerestes.Our bakers Fluffy D, Irma, Louise and Roseanne; the volunteer servers, Denise, Janine, Jennie, Karen, Mary and Winnie; and our cook Rosie and assistant cook Doreen, who graciously stepped in for the main cook Ruth.
