Carbon parole and probation hearings held

Carbon County judges conducted parole/probation revocation hearings on petitions filed by the adult probation department against defendants who violated the terms of their release.

Hearings were held for the following:Dennis Takacs, 31, of Lehighton had his parole revoked on a charge of possession of a controlled substance on petition of probation officer Derek George for violating conditions by not reporting to the probation office as directed, his whereabouts were unknown, and missed urine screens, which violated the zero-tolerance condition.Judge Steven R. Serfass resentenced him to serve 120 days in the county prison effective Dec. 27, 2014.Jestin Schaeffer, 29, of Lansford, had his parole revoked on a charge of theft by unlawful taking on petition of George for violating conditions by testing positive for alcohol, which violated the zero-tolerance condition.Judge Joseph J. Matika resentenced him to serve six months in the county prison effective Nov. 20, 2014.Alexander Kevin Dreher, 26, of Lehighton had his probation revoked on a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on petition of George for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed, and admitted using heroin, which violated the zero-tolerance condition.Matika resentenced him to serve 90 days to 12 months in the county prison effective Feb. 4.Tiffany Scott, 27, of Lehighton, had her parole revoked on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance on petition of George for violating conditions by not reporting to the probation office as directed, and testing positive for morphine, which violated the zero-tolerance condition.President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II resentenced her to serve 90 days in the county prison effective Jan. 14 and remain on consecutive probation.Eugene Sillers, 26, of Lehighton, had his parole revoked on a charge of burglary on petition of George for violating conditions by testing positive for morphine, which violated the zero-tolerance condition.Matika resentenced him to serve the balance of his maximum which runs to July 1, with consecutive probation imposed.Trevor Shawn Strohl, 34, of Palmerton, had his probation revoked on petition of probation officer Toby Butz for violating conditions by testing positive for opiates, which violated the zero-tolerance condition.Serfass resentenced him to serve six to 12 months in the county prison effective Dec. 2, 2014.Terry Gergar, 31, of Tresckow, had his parole/probation revoked on a charge of driving under the influence on petition of probation officer Joseph Bettine for violating conditions by not making a concerted effort to pay court costs, failing to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, failing to complete alcohol safe driving school, and failing to complete 25 hours of community service.Matika resentenced him to serve two to six months in the county prison.Kori Errichetto, 22, of Weatherly, had his parole revoked on a charge of theft by unlawful taking on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by not making a concerted effort to pay court costs, and failing to obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Matika resentenced Errichetto to serve three months back time in the county prison effective Aug. 3 at 9 a.m. However, if she completes the D&A evaluation and pays court costs of $2,343.74 by that date the order will be vacated.Kimberly Crawley, 43, of White Haven, had her parole revoked on a DUI charge on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by testing positive for marijuana, failing to obtain a comprehensive alcohol assessment and follow all recommendations, which violated the zero-tolerance condition.Matika resentenced her to serve three months back time effective Aug. 3 at 9 a.m. However, if she completes her D&A treatment by that date the order will be vacated.Amber Reenock, 30, of Palmerton, had her probation revoked on a charge of simple assault on petition of probation officer Kimberly Cooper for violating conditions by not making a concerted effort to pay court costs and failing to complete 25 hours of community service.Matika resentenced her to serve 30 to 60 days in the county prison effective March 25. The order states she must serve the full 60 days.Katelyn Roth, 26, of Nesquehoning, had her parole revoked on a charge of retail theft on petition of probation officer Clifford Eckhart for violating conditions by repeatedly testing positive for a controlled substance, failing to engage or complete D&A treatment, and failing to perform 50 hours of community service.Matika resentenced her to serve the balance of her maximum term which runs to June 25.Tonya Napolitano, 31, of Nesquehoning, had her parole revoked on a charge of receiving stolen property on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by testing positive for a controlled substance.Nanovic resentenced her to serve 50 days in the county prison effective May 12 with credit for 49 days already served.Joseph Becker, 33, of Summit Hill, had his parole revoked on a charge of criminal trespass on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by failing to report to the probation office as directed, absconded from his approved residence, failing to submit to scheduled drug screens which violated the zero tolerance conditions, and being unsuccessfully discharged form a D&A treatment program.Matika resentenced him to serve the balance of his term in the county prison, which runs to May 8, 2016.Samuel Heydt, 37, of Nesquehoning, had his parole revoked on a charge of accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by being unsuccessfully discharged from a D&A treatment program.Nanovic resentenced him to serve out his maximum term, which runs to July 31.Sean Holland, 23, of Weatherly, had his parole revoked on a charge of possession of a controlled substance on petition of Bettine for violating conditions by testing positive for marijuana which violated the zero tolerance condition.Matika resentenced him to serve 36 days back time in the county prison which was effective April 7.Heather Walck, 27, of Nesquehoning, was revoked from the county's accelerated rehabilitation disposition probation program on a charge of retail theft on petition of Eckhart for violating conditions by failure to pay court costs.Nanovic ordered the case placed on the June 16 pretrial list.
