I would like to clarify my previous letter to the editor which was printed May 5.People are mistaking my remarks about the current commissioners as an endorsement of the three to be re-elected as a team.This is not true!I just wanted to say my experience with them showed that I felt I was listened to by them when I had concerns about the county.I wanted to encourage others to get involved and hold our elected officials accountable to us, the people who voted them in as our county commissioners.Secondly, I am supporting Rocky Ahner for commissioner.He will work diligently for Carbon County residents and be a good steward of their tax dollars.He has consistently done this as a Lehighton school board director and very much opposes the proposed elementary center in the district.So I know, firsthand he will try his best to look out for the people of Carbon County.Thank You Again!Sincerely,Betty J.
