I'm writing in support of Mr. Daniel J. Blazosky's candidacy for Carbon County coroner. I have known Danny personally since our time together at Panther Valley High School from 1997-1999.We have remained close friends, and Danny joined my extended family when he and his wife, Meghan, were married in 2008.Danny was a successful student and athlete, both at Panther Valley High School and at Monmouth University, where he received his B.S. in business management.He continued his education at Northampton Community College for his applied science of funeral services degree.Danny is supervisor for Sverchek-Blazosky Funeral Home in Lansford and a funeral director for the Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home in Nesquehoning.It is apparent that Danny's academic and business experiences make him an excellent candidate to excel as Carbon County coroner; however, it is Danny's character that makes him the best fit for the role.Since we were teenagers, Danny has always been a person others turn to for help. Whether it was a ride home from track practice or a couple dollars for a high school lunch, Danny's care and concern for the people around him were obvious even then.Danny also has a calming demeanor and a sense of professionalism that emerges even in the most difficult situations.Perhaps the most significant experience I've had with Danny in a professional sense was also one of the most sad and difficult times for our family.The passing of Margaret Crampsie, Danny's grandmother-in-law, was a tremendous loss for the Crampsie family. Having been in Meghan's life for so long, Mrs. Crampsie was also like grandmother to Danny.Through his own grief, he was a calming presence for everyone.He directed a beautiful funeral that honored the life and legacy of Mrs. Crampsie and eased the pain of her loss for the entire family.I am certain that the kindness, professionalism, and care with which Danny treated our family will extend effortlessly to the residents of Carbon County.His professional background certainly qualifies him for this challenging role, but it's Danny's heart that truly makes him the best candidate.I hope you'll join me in supporting Danny for Carbon County coroner.Sincerely,Amber E.
