Gun rights activists head to rally at Pennsylvania Capitol

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Hundreds of gun-rights supporters are set to converge on the steps of the Pennsylvania Capitol for the annual Second Amendment Action Day.

The event on Tuesday in Harrisburg is coordinated by Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, a Butler County Republican who is among the Legislature's most ardent advocates for the rights of gun owners.

Speakers include state lawmakers and Second Amendment activists from outside Pennsylvania.

At last year's rally, the speakers warned that gun rights were at risk and expressed support for legislative changes to broaden those rights.

This is the 10th year for the event, which Metcalfe began in 2006.
