Tamaqua pulled off a big Schuylkill League win, while Weatherly split in high school baseball action.
BASEBALLNo. Schuylkill-TamaquaThe Raiders came up with a run in the bottom of the seventh to score a 2-1 victory over the Spartans knocking them out of a shot at the wildcard for the league playoffs, in a Division 1 matchup.With runners on first and second, Matt Minchoff hit a groundball back to Spartan pitcher Tevin Murray, who bobbled it and overthrew first base allowing pinchrunner Harold Moll to score. Moll ran for Casey Rother who drew a walk.Nate MacDonald had a double and drove in the run in the third.
