A Tuscarora woman was cited by Tamaqua Police on April 30 after she decided to sleep in the entry way to the Majestic House Apartments, 201 E. Broad St., Tamaqua.

Officers were dispatched to the building at 4:20 a.m. after someone reported there was a woman sleeping in the entryway. On scene, police found Scarlet Roberts, 60, of 121 Walnut St., Tuscarora, in an inebriated condition. Roberts was awakened and said she had been at a friend's apartment, 4K, when she went outside to smoke a cigarette. When she tried to re-enter the building, she realized she was locked out.Officers contacted the friend, who came downstairs to provide entry for Roberts.She was cited for public drunkenness.
