Marian Catholic's Alex Stroia will continue her education and volleyball career at Alvernia University/Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Stroia was an outside hitter for the Fillies who earned four varsity letters in volleyball. She played in 67 games as a senior and recorded 132 kills, 228 digs and had a 96 percent serving average. She was part of a state championship team in 2013 and a state semifinalist team last fall. She earned a Schuylkill League Division II honorable mention selection.Stroia was also a four-year starter for Marian's softball team. She is also member of the National Honor Society and Future Business Leaders of America. She will major in pre-med.She is the daughter of Dr. Luciano and Mary Pat Stroia.
