Rain date for May 9 will be May 16 and the rain date for May 23 will be May 30, if needed. There is no rain date for June 6. PIC does do not pickup in rain, snow or temperatures below 40 degrees at 7 a.m. on the day of the event.Participants should wear brightly colored rugged clothing and footwear. Light refreshments will be available, with proceeds going to The Garden.Brodheadsville TSC will donate a portion of its sales to The Garden of Giving and everyone who contributes will also receive a thank you gift.The Garden offers thanks to volunteers who helped plant 3,600 onions in April. Another planting is scheduled for May 23 and 24. Shifts are set up from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Split shifts are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tomato, cucumber, basil, parsley, zucchini, eggplant, green bean, and a half acre of sweet corn seedlings will be planted.The Garden of Giving is a great place for Scouting, youth and church groups to learn and have fun while giving to their community, and also welcomes team leaders with gardening knowledge to guide the groups.
