Dump truck pulls wires down

The lift portion of a dump truck pulled wires down on a Schuylkill County borough street, which struck another vehicle in the process. State police at Frackville said the incident occurred at 11:50 a.m. on Thursday along Main Street in Gilberton.

Troopers said Jason Sebastian, 26, of Mount Carmel, was driving a 2006 Sterling dump truck westbound near the Route 924 interchange when the bed portion lifted up and caught wires that crossed the road pulling them down.The falling wires struck a 2007 Ford Fusion driven westbound by Marc A. Wislosky, 28, of Frackville.Sebastian, Wislosky and his passengers, Justin Heaton, 18, Girardville, and Jasmine Colon, 18, of Ashland, were all not injured.Troopers said PPL and Service Electric Cable Company personnel responded to remove the wiring from the roadway and a damaged utility pole.
