April 27, 1974 Lehighton wins four events to help capture the annual Catasauqua Relays. The Indians, coached by Ken Reid, edge the host school 50-44 for the team title. Todd Rehrig, Rich Newton, Rich Hunsicker and Kevin Koch combine to claim the Distance Medley Relay while Rehrig joins with Andy Homyak, Gary Schleicher and Kim Berger to take first in the Mile Relay. In the field events, Rehrig, Bob Walck and Jay Seigendall team up to win the Long Jump, while Seigendall, Bob Warner and Jim Snyder gain first in the High Jump.
