No one was hurt in a two-vehicle accident on April 13 at 4:24 p.m. on Interstate 81 in Butler Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at the Frackville barracks said the accident happened when Dennis W. Bodie, 20, of Norwich, New York, operating a 2011 Ford Ranger, was traveling in the right lane of the interstate in the area of mile marker 121.9 when he fell asleep. Police said he failed to see a 2006 Toyota Corolla that was also traveling in the right lane, operated by Leann M. Schlauch, 35, of Weatherly.Police said the Ranger struck the Corolla from behind, causing disabling damage to its rear bumper. The pickup rolled onto its passenger side.A passenger was with Bodie. Three passengers with Schlauch were: Michael Schlauch, 41, Devin Schlauch, 14, and Shelby Schlauch, 16, all of Weatherly.Police said all of the occupants were wearing seat belts. No one was injured.Pollice said Bodie will be cited for careless driving.
