Blue Mountain Health System and the Palmerton Lions Club will co-host a Community Health and Information Fair from 9 a.m. to noon April 25 on the main floor and cafeteria at the Palmerton Hospital Campus at 135 Lafayette Ave.

Screenings, including (fasting) cholesterol and blood glucose, blood pressure, arthritis, balance and pulse oximetry will be offered along with EKGs at no cost. Chair massages will also be available.Representatives from 35 agencies and organizations from Carbon and surrounding counties will present information and education on a variety of topics, including diabetes, nutrition, weight loss, foot health, exercise, insurance, Medicare, local government and much more.Door prizes will be awarded; you don't need to be present to win. In addition, sandwiches and homemade baked goods, juice and coffee/tea will be served, courtesy of the Palmerton Lions Club.There is no charge to attend the fair or for any of the screenings, and refreshments are free as well.
