Man robs Turkey Hill in Gilbert

State Police at Fern Ridge are investigating a robbery at the Turkey Hill convenience store on Route 209 and Gilbert Road in Chestnuthill Township early Saturday.

At 2:18 a.m., a white man wearing a blue rag around his face entered the store and showed the clerk a pocket knife. He told the clerk he didn't want to hurt him, but did want cash.

The clerk opened the cash register hand gave the man about $60 in one and five-dollar bills. The robber ran off with the money and was last seen in the area of Gilbert Road and Long Mountain Drive.

He was described as wearing a green sweatshirt and blue jeans. He's about 40 years old, has brown hair and a goatee, is about 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall.
