Lehighton VFW Post 256 recently held its annual community egg hunt for children up to the age of 12.

The event was sponsored by the post and members.Commander Kenneth Repsher Jr. said there were over 100 children who came out to enjoy the egg hunt, which was held in the park across from the post.Every child received candy and there were several "lucky" eggs.Repsher said he was very pleased with the turnout. He said the post is also planning to hold a Santa event, which will be open to all community children in December.
