Tamaqua man cited at mini mart

Tamaqua police have cited Christian Shilko, 45, of 222 Hunter St., Tamaqua, after an incident at the Fegley Mini Mart, Center Street, on March 15.

According to the police report, a female clerk was working at the convenience store that afternoon when Shilko came in to use the restroom.When he came out, he told the clerk the light fixture was "messed up." He offered to show her the problem, if she went to the room with him.The clerk was busy at the counter unable to check on the problem. While she was busy, Shilko, who was drunk, told several other males he wanted the clerk to go in the bathroom "so he could have sex with her."When she refused, he went back in to the restroom, took the light fixture apart, then began reassembling it. In the process, he dropped and broke the light bulb.Shilko was cited for public drunkenness, criminal mischief and harassment.
