April 9, 1965 Dave Snyder earns three individual wins to help Palmerton cruise to a 73-22 Lehigh Valley League track win over Catasauqua. Snyder captures the 100, 220 and 440-yard races. His 220 time of 22.9 establishes a new track record at the home of the Rough Riders. Wayne Heintzelman (mile) and Duane Costenbader (880) each win an individual event and contribute to the Blue Bombers' victorious mile realy team. In the field events, Palmerton receives firsts from Charlie Shupp (shot put), Pete Perich (broad jump) and George Kutta (high jump).
