The PNP Hurricanes, a 5th Grade AAU girls' basketball team, captured the March Madness Tournament at In the Zone over the weekend of March 28-29. The team which is a member of the In the Zone Basketball Club finished 4-1 on the weekend, going undefeated on Sunday. In the playoffs, the team defeated Upper Perk 44-6, Nanticoke 17-9, and ITZ(A) 17-15. Taylor Bjorkman of Lehighton, Brianna Moore, Bethie Morgan, and Raegan Nemeth from Palmerton all played key roles for the Hurricanes during the tournament.
