At least 30 acres are burning in a brush fire located near the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lehigh Gap. Fire broke out around 5 p.m.

The fire straddles the Lehigh and Carbon county lines on top of the mountain.

A helicopter and two airplanes were called to assist in putting out the fire.

Smoke could be seen for miles. Drivers have pulled over on Route 248 near Bowmanstown to see the fire.
