Several people were cited for violating the Quality of Life Ordinances in Tamaqua last week.
Cited for having accumulated rubbish/garbage were: Rachel Dries, 128 Penn St.; Lamar Reed, 209 Hunter St.; Raymond Lucas, 30 N. Greenwood St.; Larry Frederick, 24 N. Greenwood St.; Louwrens Jordaan, 250 Mauch Chunk St. Each was a first offense, subject to a $25 fine.The Advanced Professional Investment Company was cited for three violations at 125 Penn St. They included accumulated rubbish/garbage, animal waste and having storage containers for waste/trash placed out for collection more than 24 hours in advance. The animal waste citation was for a second offense, subject to a $50 fine. The other two were first offenses.Michael Johnson, 126 Penn St., was cited for improper animal maintenance and accumulated animal waste.Debra Massar, 232 E. Mauch Chunk St., received a first-time citation for having furniture placed outside.Louwrens Jordaan, 250 E. Mauch Chunk St., was also cited for having storage containers for waste/trash placed out for collection more than 24 hours in advance, a first offense.
