The North Central Pennsylvania Regional DUI Enforcement Program has released the results of a Roving DUI Patrol held March 21 in Schuylkill County.

Five officers representing four local law enforcement agencies conducted a roving patrol, contacting and detaining a total of 49 vehicles along Schuylkill County roads. One operator was tested, and arrested, for possible intoxication. Officers also issued 28 traffic citations, made six criminal arrests and issued 23 warnings.Checkpoints will be conducted through April 6 on routes 61, 183, 901, 209, 1006, 309, 443, 895, 125, 25, 924 and 54. The checkpoints and patrols are funded through the state Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.Motorists are reminded to dial 911 if they suspect a drunken driver.
