HANOVER TWP. - A 30-year-old woman was taken into custody after police say she was found wandering the streets with a naked child on Saturday.

Police responded to the incident on Pulaski Street on Saturday morning. The police report indicates that the temperatures were in the 20s that morning. The unidentified female entered a resident's running vehicle in a driveway - when confronted by the resident, the vehicle rolled into the roadway and struck another vehicle and street sign.

The woman then left the area with the naked child and was later found in another resident's home on Garman Street. Police say the resident had left his door unlocked.

Police made contact with the woman at that time, and she was taken into custody for a mental health evaluation. Police also say that a criminal warrant for her arrest related to the incident is pending.

The child was found to be unharmed and alert, according to police. The age of the child was not indicated in the police report.
