Burglary, theft incidents investigated

State police at Lehighton reported on a burglary and theft incidents being investigated by troopers.

The break-in occurred at 530 Lakeside Drive in Towamensing Township. A pole building was entered through the front sliding door. Removed from the building was at least eight marine batteries. The property is owned by a 49-year-old man from Lehighton, troopers said.The incident occurred sometime between Jan. 23 and March 15.A 56-year-old man from the 800 block of Club Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, reported a trail camera was removed from his property. The theft occurred sometime between 4 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday.Troopers said a 27-year-old man from Pittstown, New Jersey, removed a backpack belonging to a 19-year-old from New Milford, Connecticut, while at the Blue Mountain Ski Area in Lower Towamensing Township. Video surveillance was used to identify the suspect. The incident occurred on March 20 between 8:30 and 9:45 p.m.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at 610-681-1850
