The search is on for a juvenile female who has been missing since Saturday afternoon.
State police at Lehighton said that at around 2:10 p.m., Camp Adams, at 79 Act Lane, Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township, had one of their resident youths run away through a back door at the main building while cleaning.The missing runaway, 17, of 132 E. Garibaldi Ave. Nesquehoning, placed a call to her sister, stating she will be on the run until she is 18.Numerous friends were called and asked of the missing runaway's whereabouts, with negative results.The missing runaway was last seen wearing dark blue sweat pants, a white thermal shirt with a maroon/burgundy sweat shirt underneath, and pink and gray sneakers.The missing runaway is a 4-feet, 11-inch female with blonde, shoulder length hair, blue colored eyes and about 120 pounds, possibly wearing eye glasses.She was entered as missing at 11:40 p.m. on Saturday.Anyone with information is asked to call state police at Lehighton at 610-681-1850.
