All shook up

The Tamaqua Area Drama Club will present its production of "All Shook Up," a tribute to the 1950s and Elvis, this weekend in the Tamaqua Area School District Auditorium.The show will go on at 7 p.m. today, and two performances on Saturday, at 1 and 7 p.m.Diabetes supportSt. Luke's University Health Network will sponsor a diabetes support group. Monthly meetings will begin in April and be held from 6 to 7 p.m. in the health network's Miners Campus in Coaldale.With the exception of the April meeting, the group will meet in the ground floor community room. The April 29 meeting will be held in the second-floor cafe.Each month, a different diabetes topic is explored. Topics are based on ways to improve blood sugar control and quality of life. Meetings include a question-and-answer period.Reservations are not required and there are no fees. Kevin Duffy Guy will officiate at the 9:30 a.m. worship service Sunday in St. John United Church of Christ. Sunday school begins at the end of the junior sermon.Also on Sunday, a time of fellowship and choir rehearsal will be held following the worship service.Activities for next week will include: Tuesday, Bible study session at 6:30 p.m.; Wednesday, midweek Lenten service, 7:30 p.m.SS. Peter and PaulSS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 307 Pine St., will host a "Nightfever" event on March 27.The church will be open for anyone interested in stopping in to light a candle, listen to music, speak with a priest or receive words from Scripture.The 5 p.m. Mass will be followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.The public is welcome to attend.Zion LewistownPastor Jim Williams will officiate at this Sunday's 10:30 a.m. service in Zion Church in the Lewistown Valley. Sunday school classes will be held at 9:15 a.m.A new Sunday school class for youth will begin this Sunday.Activities for next week include: Wednesday, community Lenten service, 7:30 p.m., at Zion's; Thursday, Bible study session at 12:30 p.m., Confirmation class meets at 6:30 p.m.
