A sport utility vehicle and a tractor-trailer rig were involved in a crash at 11:30 a.m. Monday along Weishample Road at the intersection with Deep Creek Road in Barry Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Brandi M. Huber, 21, of Hegins, driving a 2003 Ford Escape, was turning left from Deep Creek Road onto Weishample Road while Carl D. Zimmerman Jr., 61, also of Hegins, was driving a 1998 Freightliner tractor on Weishample Road.Troopers said Huber entered the path of Zimmerman and a collision occurred.Huber was injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street in Pottsville. Zimmerman was not injured. The Ford had to be towed.Troopers cited Huber for driving too fast for conditions.
