The cost to eat lunch in the Palmerton Area School District will see a slight increase next school year.

By an 8-0 vote, the school board on Tuesday approved the breakfast and lunch prices for the 2015-16 school year as mandated by Section 205 of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010. Director Darlene Yeakel was absent.The cost to eat lunch will rise by 10 cents, while the cost to eat breakfast will remain the same.Costs will be as follows:Elementary breakfast, $1.15Secondary breakfast, $1.25Adult breakfast, $2.10Elementary lunch, $2.20Secondary lunch, $2.30Adult lunch, $3.50Milk $0.55
