State police at Lehighton reported investigating a two-vehicle crash at 3:47 p.m. Wednesday along Route 209, in Franklin Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Zachary W. Smith, 19, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2003 Dodge Neon northbound in the right lane while Shawn M. Flyte, 29, of Effort, driving a 2002 Subaru Forester, also northbound, was slowing due to traffic ahead of him. The front of the Neon struck the rear of the Forester.No one was injured. Damages were disabling to the Forester. Troopers cited Smith for driving too fast for conditions.
