Palmerton graduate Kyla Rodrigues has been named to the 2014 Gladiator by SGI/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Scholars of Distinction.

Rodrigues, a member of the Moravian College team, is receiving the honor for the second consecutive year.The former Blue Bomber is one of 138 NCAA Division III student-athletes that earned the award, which is given to student-athletes that have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year.A sophomore, Rodrigues scored two goals and added two assists while playing all 18 games for the Greyhounds. Moravian finished with an 8-10 record this past season.
