Five heavy metal bands to perform in Tamaqua

Five Pennsylvania bands will bring the sound of heavy metal music to Tamaqua on March 28 at the Tamaqua Community Art Center. The concert is not for the faint of heart, featuring progressive, hard-core, metal and melodic experimental music.

The band Since the Fire is the headliner. Based in Wind Gap, the group plays progressive montage metal with some melodic experimentation.Other bands scheduled to perform include: Sound of Reverse from Macungie, a progressive, noisy, space math rock band; Geniverse from Lansdale, a progressive, hard-core metal band featuring melodic and percussive experimentation peppered throughout their music; Burial in the Sky from Mount Carmel with its technical death metal sound; and No Remorse for the Fallen traveling from Philadelphia to share its progressive, hard-core metal sound.The event will begin at 5 p.m. Tickets will be $10 in advance.
