State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a two-vehicle crash along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, Carbon County. The crash occurred at 2:27 p.m. on March 3.

Troopers said You Q. Chen, 49, of New York City, New York, and Ronald R. Dalpe Jr., 49, of Saylorsburg, were both eastbound with Chen in the right lane and Dalpe in the left lane.Chen attempted to pass Dalpe when he lost control of his 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. His vehicle struck the passenger side door area of Dalpe's 2008 Ford E250 truck.The impact forced the Ford onto the north side where it traveled down an embankment and struck a tree with its front end. After impact the Chrysler traveled onto the south berm where it became disabled in a snowbank.Dalpe sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention. Chen and a passenger with Dalpe, Brian D. Dalpe, 37, of Easton, were not injured.Troopers cited Chen for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
