James "Riley" McHugh, a freshmanin the College of Engineering, was named to the dean's list at Temple University for fall 2014 with a GPA of 3.58. He is enrolled in the electrical engineering program and plans to concentrate on computer engineering.

In order to be eligible for the dean's list, students in the College of Engineering had to achieve a semester GPA of 3.53 or better. That threshold was determined by the top 16 percent of all student GPAs in the College of Engineering over the previous five years.Riley, a 2014 graduate of Marian Catholic High School, is the son of Jim and Sherry McHugh of Jim Thorpe, and the grandson of Donna and Joe Nilon of Jim Thorpe, and Doris Petefish of Stanley, Virginia.
