Edward Hoffman, 43, of Hazleton, was arrested by Rush Township police on Feb. 28 after an incident on Frankford Avenue.

Hoffman was charged with simple assault, unlawful restraint and harassment. He was arraigned before duty District Judge Anthony Kilker, of Shenandoah, who set bail at $10,000 straight cash.Unable to post bail, Hoffman was lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville.
