March 4, 1950 Lansford captures the Black Diamond League Class B championship by defeating Coaldale, 60-47. The Panthers, coached by Al Klotz, close the game with an 11-1 run to seal the victory. Johnny Vanak tallies a game-high 25 points for the winners, while Joe Lutz finishes the contest with 11. Lansford, which trailed by eight points midway through the third quarter, also receives 10 points from Pete Shears. For the Tigers, Steve Bitsko ends with a team-high 14 points.
