Texas authorities to extradite man

Authorities in Orange County, Texas, plan to extradite a Nesquehoning man on a felony charge of driving while intoxicated.

Nesquehoning police charged Charles K. Misawic, 46, with a fugitive from justice charge (arrest prior to requisition) after having been notified of a warrant issued against him by that county's sheriff's department.Police said they were notified of the incident by Acting Warden Timothy Fritz of the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning. Fritz told police his office received the warrant for Misawic, who is currently incarcerated at the jail.On Feb. 19, police advised Misawic of his Miranda Rights, after which he was informed of the warrant and admitted to police he was arrested in Orange County. Police said the man agreed to waive his right to extradition.
