February 24, 1953 Steve Vitek pours in a game-high 24 points to help Lansford rally from an early deficit and post a 76-54 victory over Coaldale. The Panthers, coached by Johnny Chuckran, trail by three points after the first quarter but use a 20-10 second frame to take the lead for good. Frank Radocha contributes 20 points to the winning effort while Bob Popik adds 12 and Zlock chips in with 10. For the Tigers, Joe Zaleha tallies a team-high 15 points.
