A truck crashed into a Schuylkill County business early today.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the crash occurred about 2:45 a.m. as James Mitchell, 61, of Ringtown, was driving a 2015 Volvo truck with 2013 Wabash National trailer southbound on Route 61 in West Brunswick Township.The truck hit a patch of ice causing Mitchell to lose control of the vehicle. The trailer struck the center divider blowing out the driver side tires. The truck then crossed over the northbound lane and entered the parking lot of Russo's Pizza Den striking a parked 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee, owned by the business.After impact the Volvo continued to travel through the pizza shop's dining area, coming to final rest inside the building. No damage estimate was given in the police report.Mitchell, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.
