A Northumberland County teen was charged following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 5 p.m. Thursday along Birds Hill Road in Pine Grove Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Carla S. Ney, 18, of Dronsife, was driving a 2006 Kia Optima eastbound and negotiating a left curve when she lost control on a patch of snow on the road.The car went onto the berm and collided head-on into a tree. Ney was not injured. She was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
