A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence after he was found asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Justin Washick, 27, of Spring Glen, was found in his Pontiac G6 asleep in the area of 139 New St., Norwegian Township, at 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday.Troopers said he was awakened and showed signs of impairment. He was given field sobriety tests and then taken for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.
