A McAdoo woman was sent to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville after assaulting a relative on Friday.

Police were dispatched to 513 E. Blaine St., McAdoo, at 9:25 a.m. for an assault in progress. At the scene, they found the female victim, who had been struck repeatedly in the arms and legs by Monica Zapotosky, 39.Zapotosky was arrested and arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment. Bail was set at $1,000 straight, which she was unable to post.
