Nesquehoning police reported on numerous speeding citations handed out recently.

On Feb. 7, at the intersection of Oak and Catawissa streets, Chief Sean T. Smith handed out 13 speeding tickets. The area is zoned for 25 miles-per-hour. Speeds clocked included 53, 52, 49, 46, 44, 43, 41, and 40.Officer Timothy Wuttke issued the following citations. On Feb. 6, two citations: Route 54 and Third Avenue, careless driving; and Route 93, expired inspection sticker. On Feb. 7, speeding at Oak and Catawissa, 43 in a 25 zone.
