A vehicle stop along an interstate roadway in Lehigh County has led to the arrest of a New York state resident and the seizure of a large quantity of untaxed cigarettes.
State police at Fogelsville said Mohamed Ahmed Kassin, of Brooklyn, was stopped at 1:43 a.m. on Thursday along Interstate 78 in Salisbury Township, for a traffic violation.A consent search of the vehicle resulted in 260 cartons of untaxed cigarettes being located in the trunk of the vehicle.Troopers said Kassin was transporting the cigarettes from Virginia to Brooklyn.
