Free Range Folk performs in Tamaqua

The musical group Free Range Folk will be performing at the Tamaqua Community Art Center on Valentine's Day, with special guest Gene Morrison.

The band is a family affair, brought together by members' shared interests in farming, family, the general outdoors and music. Their harmonies often invoke the old-time bluegrass sound, but also reflect varied influences such as The Band and Bob Dylan. Their sound is versatile, owing in large part to an eclectic choice of instruments, including musical saws, the boom-bah, washboards, trumpets and more. Shows focus on humor, having a great time, letting loose and the appreciation of family and friends.Band members include: Amber Breiner Finsel, Brad Konstas, Dan Ruch, Josh Finsel, Kevin Ruch, Sara Ruch, Shawn McCarty and Kyle O'Brien.Whether related by blood or marriage, the group's respect for one another is displayed both on and off stage. The band has toured nationally and performed live studio concerts, including on the nationally syndicated "Folk Show" on WXPN radio. Visit their website at
