A 2003 Toyota driven by David L. Kaiser, 62, of Orwigsburg, crashed after it struck a large amount of snow at 11:47 a.m. Saturday on Second Mountain Road in North Manheim Township. Kaiser was not injured.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said Kaiser was driving eastbound when the vehicle struck snow that was blown onto the roadway from an open field. The car went out of control, traveled off the south berm of the road and struck a utility pole and a mailbox. After the impact, the driver was able to back up and pull into the homeowner's driveway, police said.
