State police at Frackville said high winds were present at the time of a one-vehicle crash at 8:05 a.m. Jan. 31 on Interstate 81 in Foster Township. No one was injured in the crash.

Police said Norbert J. Dotzel, 78, of Mountain Top, was driving a 2007 Lincoln Town Car northbound when he lost control of the vehicle. Police said it spun 180 degrees, crossed the passing lane and shoulder of the road, and began traveling down a slight median embankment.Police said the left front end of the vehicle struck a roadside tree while the right tire impacted a second tree, causing the vehicle to continue down the median before coming to a stop.Police said the driver will be cited in the incident.
